Your files

Almost everything MyGuyAI does runs locally in your web browser. When you compress, merge, split, resize or convert images, or convert JPG↔PDF, the file's contents are never uploaded to our servers — we cannot see, read or store them.

PDF ↔ Word conversions (the one exception)

Two tools — PDF to Word and Word to PDF — cannot be done faithfully in a browser, so they are the only tools that process your file on our server. For these two tools:

  • Your file is sent to our own server over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. We do not use any third-party conversion service.
  • It is written to an isolated temporary folder, converted, streamed back to you, and then deleted immediately. A background sweeper also removes anything left behind by an interrupted request within minutes.
  • Your file is never permanently stored, never backed up, and its contents are never written to our logs. We do not read or retain your document.
  • Original file names are not used server-side or logged.

What we collect

  • Anonymous usage events — for example which tool was opened and whether a task succeeded. These never include file contents, file names or any text you type.
  • If you contact us, the name, email and message you send.
  • Standard, privacy-respecting product analytics.

What we never do

  • Permanently store your documents, images or their contents.
  • Keep the files you convert with PDF↔Word (they are deleted right after conversion).
  • Log the contents or original names of your files.
  • Read the text you type into the "describe what you need" box.
  • Collect personal data you haven't explicitly given us.

How long we keep it

Anonymous usage events are automatically deleted after 90 days. Contact-form messages are automatically deleted after 180 days. Deletion is enforced automatically by our database, not by manual review.

Advertising

We plan to show privacy-considerate advertising on the free tier. Paid plans will be ad-free. Ads never interfere with your files or downloads.
